What is Omaze?
Omaze is a platform that raises money for causes that you love! It’s definitely a fun activity.
The backstory…
Here’s a little backstory. Omaze started as an idea that our co-founders, Matt and Ryan, had after they didn’t win a dream experience. They were at a benefit for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, hosted by their idol: Magic Johnson. Magic was auctioning off the chance to get dinner with him and sit courtside at a Laker game, which was, to these superfans, the most awesome prize in the history of mankind. As the auction started and the bidding quickly hit $15,000, our two broke, collegiate heroes stood no chance.
On the drive home, they couldn’t stop talking about it. Why should life’s most amazing experiences only go to the rich? And how could that incredible prize only raise $15,000 for such a great cause?
Imagine if they made these same types of opportunities available online, and democratized the system by giving anyone the chance to win. It would encourage more people to participate, which means you could raise a lot more money for nonprofits.
Then they made up a word and boom! Omaze was born. (Okay, it took a lot more work than that.)

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and school closures, After-School All-Stars is at the forefront of re-imagining afterschool programming in a virtual environment to keep students engaged, positive and healthy. They’ve pivoted their fully comprehensive approach to address students’ and families’ most urgent needs by providing food assistance and creating virtual programming focused on physical and emotional well-being.
Your support will go to the students in the 60 cities across the country who are part of the All-Star network, ensuring that their academic learning, health and emotional well being is sustained during the COVID-19 pandemic.

But if you are chosen as a winner you will get a Tesla Model X – Performance Model & $20000. Cool, right?
In the United States (US), the Grand Prize will be delivered with US sales tax, shipping fees, and registration fees, paid. If the winner is a US resident, Omaze will also provide 25% of the ARV, excluding any cash prize component, to the US winner to put towards any required US income taxes.
In all other countries, the Grand Prize will be shipped (net of all taxes) to the nearest deliverable location, at the Winner’s expense. Any applicable import duties, registration costs, or further taxes, or duties of any nature due in the destination country, will be the responsibility of the Winner.
Unfortunately are also a couple of Ineligible Countries: Winners must not be residents of Belgium, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Italy, North Korea, Singapore, Sudan, Syria, or Thailand.
